Breitloh is me, Brad Roberts. No account managers, no bench of juniors, and no chance of the person who sold you the work disappearing after the deposit. Here is where I came from, how a job runs, and what I hold myself to.
Who you are hiring
Breitloh is me, Brad Roberts. I design websites and I build them, for UK companies who want something quick, something their own people can change, and something they own outright when it is finished. Marketing teams are the ones who usually call, because they feel the cost of a slow site first, but the work is not limited to them.
Before this I spent ten years on enterprise platforms, mostly ServiceNow, building workflow and service systems for FTSE 100 companies, central government departments, and local authorities. Requirements workshops, agile teams, test cycles, demos to people who had not asked for the meeting. That is where I learned what an approval step really costs, and why a rule nobody wrote down turns into an argument eighteen months later.
It is also why the systems work here is not a stretch. A booking system with awkward availability rules, or a member area with a renewal cycle and exceptions, is the same job at a smaller scale and with far fewer meetings.
Working alone is a choice rather than a stage I am hoping to grow out of. Nothing gets handed down to someone cheaper once the deposit clears, and I can only take one build at a time. That last part is the trade: you get my full attention, and occasionally you have to wait for it.
Every project runs the same way. A price agreed before anything starts. A site you can watch being built on a real address. One short note a week. Then the whole thing in your accounts, with a walkthrough for whoever is going to look after it.
What I hold myself to
Three things that go in writing on every job, because a promise made only on a call is not really a promise.
- A price that does not move
- You get a number before I start, and it changes only when you ask for something new. Then I tell you what that costs before I build it, not after.
- A site you own outright
- The domain, the hosting, and the code sit in your accounts from the first day. Nothing is licensed back to you, and leaving me costs nothing but the goodbye.
- Updates in plain English
- One short note a week: what is done, what is next, what I need from you. No jargon, no traffic lights, no status call that could have been two sentences.

I do the lot here: the design, the build, the awkward conversation about scope, and the email at four on a Friday when something has broken. I take one build at a time, which is why the answer to when can you start is a real date rather than a hopeful one.
